Dear Robert -- I am one of Colleen's "list sisters" on the ovarian cancer list serve. I am so, so sorry to learn of her death. She had one long trial on earth these last 4 years, and I have no doubt that she earned a one-way ticket to heaven. God bless her for her strength.
Women like your beloved wife who share their experiences and hopes and fears are so special to us. She had posted some months ago that she would be facing end of life soon. That admission and her obvious faith somehow lessen the fear for the rest of us.
I know this is hard. I lost my Mom to stage IV ovarian in just 9 months in 2000, and 5 months after that was diagnosed myself at stage III.
Robert, take good care of yourself. I'm sure in many ways this is a relief; that she no longer is suffering and that you and your family no longer have the worry. Of course, that is replaced by devastating loss. But day by day, with Colleen walking by your side in her spirit, you will make adjustments. I'll keep you in my prayers.

This is sad news indeed. I got to know Rob through his postings on TheDCAsite.com. He has been working constantly to help Colleen in this battle and sharing his discoveries and thoughts with many others. My heart goes out to you.
